Scanned lecture PDFs and phone photos to practice questions

Practice questions from a phone scan or CamScanner PDF of a lecture.

Scanned PDF to questions means getting practice questions from a lecture that only exists as photos or scans. Recall Engine reads each scanned page as an image so a PDF without a text layer still works. Save your phone photos or CamScanner pages as one PDF then pick the pages to test.

MCQ · Question 1

p. 3

Which treatment component removes a collection of pus?

Show the answer

B. Drainage

Drainage removes a collection of pus. Debridement removes infected or non-viable tissue. Antibiotics treat the causative organism. Reconstruction restores stability and tissue cover when needed.

Built from the “Treatment components” table on page 3 of a public sample reference sheet. This is a teaching example rather than clinical advice.

How it works

  1. Make one PDF

Save the photos or scans as a single PDF with a scanner app such as CamScanner.

  2. Upload and pick pages

Upload the PDF up to 100 MB and select the pages you want tested.

  3. Practise and verify

Answer from memory then check each answer against its scanned page.

Frequently asked questions

Another question?

support@recallengine.app
Can I upload photos of my lecture directly?

Upload a PDF or PowerPoint file. Combine your photos into one PDF first with your phone's scanner or a scanner app such as CamScanner. Then upload that PDF.

Does it work on CamScanner PDFs?

Yes. A CamScanner PDF is a set of page images and Recall Engine reads scanned pages as images. Flat, sharp, and well-lit pages give the most reliable questions.

What about handwritten notes?

Clear handwriting can work because each page is read as an image. Messy or faint handwriting is hit or miss. Check each question against its source page before you trust it.

Why do some scanned pages give weaker questions?

Blur, shadows, skewed angles, and low contrast all make a page harder to read. Rescan the page flat in good light before you generate again.

Is it free?

You get 50 free credits on signup with no card required. Credits are charged only after a generation succeeds.
