FAQ
What does Recall Engine do?
Recall Engine turns uploaded lecture pages into SBAs, MCQs, traps, flashcards, high-yield notes, and full exam packs using AI.
Who is Recall Engine for?
Recall Engine is built for medical students who want to turn lecture material into exam-style revision.
Can I upload 30 to 50 page PDFs?
Yes. Long lecture PDFs are expected, as long as the file is text-based, under 50 MB, and under 120 pages.
What happens with long PDFs?
Long lectures are split into 20-page phases, then combined into one organized study output.
Are scanned PDFs supported?
Yes, via Visual PDF Scan. Recall Engine detects image-heavy or scanned PDFs and uses AI to read page images directly, including diagrams and tables.
How do credits work?
Free users get 20 credits on signup. Costs depend on selected pages and output type. The estimate is shown before every generation.
When are credits charged?
Credits are only deducted after a successful generation. If generation fails, your balance is not touched.
Are outputs medically verified?
Generated outputs are study aids. Verify important medical details against your official curriculum.
Can I trust the answers?
Use the source page references to check the lecture evidence before relying on an answer.
What is Weakness Review?
After answering practice questions, wrong answers are saved automatically. The Weakness Review page groups your mistakes by topic and lets you generate a targeted correction pack with new explanations and questions.
What is Visual PDF Scan?
Visual PDF Scan uses AI to read page images directly, including diagrams, charts, tables, and screenshots. It works on PDFs where text extraction is poor or on image-heavy slides.
Are payments active?
Paid credit packs are not active yet. Free starter credits are available on signup. Local payment options will be announced when available.
