Who it is for
- Medical students in Egypt in all five years of medical school.
- Students who want explained SBAs for the term they are in.
- Students who also want practice from their own lecture slides.
It is not built for interns, graduates, or board exams. It is not a USMLE or PLAB board question bank and has no internship content.
How the library maps to your year
The 5+2 system in one paragraph
Medical schools in Egypt teach a 5+2 programme. Students take five academic years of an integrated curriculum. Two years of clinical internship follow. A 2023 paper in BMC Medical Education describes the reform as "converting the 6-year academic and 1-year internship program into 5 years and 2 years, respectively". It reports that the new curriculum "started on September 2018, for the first year students". A 2026 multicentre study in the same journal states that "all Egyptian medical schools had implemented the new system" by the time it collected data in April and May 2024.
Recall Engine covers all five years of medical school. It has no internship content.
Two stages and their disciplines
The library is organised by stage first. Each stage splits into disciplines or specialties. Each of those splits into body systems.
| Stage | Where most students meet it | How it is grouped | Questions | Topic notes | Clinical skills guides | Topics |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Preclinical | Years 1 and 2 | 12 disciplines, such as physiology, pathology, and pharmacology | 13,705 | 632 | 7 | 633 |
| Clinical | Years 3 to 5 | 15 specialties, such as internal medicine, surgery, and paediatrics | 18,135 | 880 | 336 | 1,106 |
Counted 28 Oct 2026. Every stage and discipline has its own page with sample questions.
Three details help you find your term:
- Stage follows the subject, not the year. A statistics topic taught in Year 4 still sits under Preclinical.
- You can filter by your own year inside the app. A topic taught in more than one year counts in each of those years.
- Your faculty's module list comes first. The library is not an official curriculum document. Your own school's module list is the final word on what you sit.
Recall Engine is not affiliated with or endorsed by any medical school or exam board.
What is inside the library
- Questions. Clinical vignettes and direct questions. Each explanation covers the answer, why each other option is wrong, and the key point.
- Topic notes. Read them before you practise and again when you revise.
- Clinical skills guides. History, examination, and OSCE station guides written in steps. All 7,567 steps give the patient phrase in English and Egyptian Arabic.
- Review of what you missed. Start a new session from unseen, incorrect, or bookmarked questions. Then read the topic note or the guide.
Library content follows its source lectures and is reviewed under clinician oversight. You can report a problem from any question, note, or guide in the app. A correction is published as a new version. A withdrawn item leaves the question bank.
Practise your own lectures too
Your faculty's slides are what your exam is written from. The generator works from them.
Upload a lecture PDF or PowerPoint up to 100 MB and pick the pages. You get SBAs, MCQs, flashcards, or high-yield notes from those pages. Each study set links back to its source pages.
- The question bank, notes, and clinical guides use no credits. Credits pay for sets made from your own lectures.
- New accounts get 50 credits.
- Credits are charged after your output is saved. A failed generation costs nothing.
- PowerPoint files are read as slide text. Export an image-heavy deck as a PDF first.
Privacy. To make a set, the lecture's pages are sent to our AI providers for processing. Only you can see your lectures and study sets.
Prices in Egyptian pounds and US dollars
Prices come from the same settings the checkout uses. Plans start at 399 EGP or 9.99 USD for 30 days. Yearly plans save more. US dollar prices are before tax. Tax is added at checkout.
How to pay. Pay by card, mobile wallet, or Apple Pay in Egyptian pounds. One payment covers 30 or 365 days and never renews by itself. Egyptian pound prices are for buyers in Egypt. US dollar prices are for everyone else.
Refunds. A plan never renews by itself. There is nothing to cancel. A plan payment is non-refundable once you have opened library content or spent plan credits under that plan. If you have done neither, email support within 48 hours of payment and we will review your request. Unused days and unused plan credits are not refunded when a plan ends. See the refund policy.
Free start. 7 days of the library free plus 50 credits. After the trial you keep 5 new questions a day and everything you have already answered.
How to judge any question bank
Use these checks on any bank you are thinking of paying for. We list how Recall Engine answers each one.
- Every option is explained. A good explanation says why the right answer is right and why each other option is wrong. Recall Engine: every library question explains every option besides the answer.
- Sources are named. You should be able to open the reference behind an explanation. Recall Engine: sets made from your lectures link to their source pages.
- Numbers carry a date and a definition. A question count means little without the day it was counted and what it includes. Recall Engine: every count on the facts page shows when it was read and how it was counted.
- Review and corrections are described. Look for who reviews the content and how a mistake gets fixed. Recall Engine: library content follows its source lectures and is reviewed under clinician oversight. Any item can be reported and a fix is published as a new version.
- It fits your stage and your exam. A board bank is written for a licensing exam. Your faculty exam follows your modules. Recall Engine covers all five years of medical school. It is not a board bank.
- Prices and renewal are clear. Check the price in your own currency and whether it renews by itself. Recall Engine: plans are priced in EGP and USD. One payment covers 30 or 365 days and never renews by itself.
- You know where your uploads go. Recall Engine: Only you can see your lectures and study sets.
- You can try it first. Recall Engine: 7 days of the library free plus 50 credits.
What Recall Engine does not do
- It is not a USMLE or PLAB board question bank and has no internship content.
- There is no native mobile app today. It runs in the phone's browser.
- The interface is in English. Egyptian Arabic appears in the patient phrases of the clinical skills guides.
- Library questions and topic notes are written for exam study and are not clinical guidance. Where they differ from your course, follow your course.
